Attorney

Every engagement rests on a prior written agreement covering the nature, scope, and budget of the assignment. This agreement is set out in an engagement letter that includes a fee agreement.

Fees are calculated according to one of the following three methods:

• Fixed fee, based on an estimate prepared at the outset of the engagement.
• Time spent, at an hourly rate agreed together based on the complexity of the work involved; a projected estimate is provided before the engagement begins.
• A combination of fixed fee and success fee (this arrangement is excluded from engagements as a mediator).

Mediator

The terms of engagement as a mediator are set out in a mediation agreement entered into between Oratorik, the parties, and their respective counsel.

Subscriptions provide access to preferential rates and priority access to Oratorik’s services. They may be cancelled at any time.
